Use this reguarly now and would never go back to scrpas of paper and as I also colour cooridinate and categorise everything , it makes it easier to look at and deal with
Schedulling stuff to do into my life, means I don’t do too much and also I know what I’m doing on a day to day, week and monthly basis
Also the being able to automate reminders/tasks/ saves having to type it out again

I use outlook at work, getting things done, and task pad at work and at home
Helps me schedule stuff in my life I send myself appointments when they pop into my head, then I put them in my calendar, I find this incredibly helful as I can see at a glance how much I have to do and also what can wait.So I actually use my time effectively
I have been successfully using my iPod Touch as a tool. I have the smallest least expensive one.
The ability to add calendar items on the fly take notes has turned an audio tool (for books and scrubbing through audio files that I am taking home) into a useful PDA like device.
That is syncs with my calendar program. This will be the first quarter that I will have my syllabi entered into my calendar program, and the idea is that it should help me complete my assignments with a little more foresight.
Now if I only had a working iPod Touch.
I live my life with a great deal of technology, but I still try to simplify. I use technology to get over what ever disabilities I have to deal with. I listen to a few dozen audio books a year. I have an iPod shuffle, but it just isn’t great for navigating indexed books. What I want is an iPod Touch. I think I can justify a new iPod, especially if it can surf the internet and navigate indexed books and sync with my contacts and calender. This elevates the want from a toy to a tool.
The university that I am going to uses an online portal that has a calender on it. My work has 2 calenders, my computer one, and my phone one. There are too many calenders in my life.
I am tempted to use just the one on my computer, and perhaps my phone. Actually, I am more than tempted. I think that will have to be the way it is done.
Tomorrow, I will make and print labels for the “big picture” calendar at work. (My printing is awful and I don’t think I should ask my admin. assistant fill in 3 months of class schedule on the big calender.
For short term personal appointments I find my phones calendar a good tool. This keeps me from flipping my laptop open for every appointment. It’s awkward to use, but it is working for me.
I’m trying this for the summer. I have a lot of free time, I’m trying to fill it, and I don’t want to lose track of all the fun things I’m planning. I’m finally going to give this a whirl. I still think I need to keep one in my purse and I don’t want to. (i hate big purses, and I can’t write tiny in the small calendars) Also, I think I would be better if I had a big calendar hung out right in front of me, but I wish it could be somewhat disguised-we recently redecorated/painted the room my desk is in, and I don’t want to make it look goofy with a big calendar on the wall. Any suggestions?
OK so I finally downloaded a good calendar program for Ubuntu. Planning to start using it soon.
