I have managed to sporadically do this, but not with anything that you could call discipline. Will try to get a routine going.

    Very calming 12 months ago

not managing to do this daily, but have definitely done it more often. I love the way you become when you manage to do this for a while, calm, feeling healthy and remembering what is important.

    Starting 25/09, 20 minutes a day

Always easy to do this when on top of life, but I always find it hard to do when it would be of most benefit, namely when things are more challenging. Still managed to pull it off sometimes and showed how useful it is just to relax.

a hell of a month. And I will continue, though I have to delete one of the meditation alarms I set on my cell phone.

I see it fell off my challenges 2 years ago

I’ve been using Joe’s Goals to track my progress but the interface is very clunky and SLOW for trying to find out how many I’ve done in the past month so I haven’t be able to count it. Suffice to say, I haven’t done it every day, but usually 5 days a week.

It hasn’t been a miracle but it’s helped me deal with my workload and my happiness or at least peace of mind. I do recommend it.

    doubly relaxing 2 years ago

I got a chair massage for today’s meditation. I will do this every other week for the rest of my time here.

missed the weekend 2 years ago

and I should have yesterday because I lost focus and started mentally spinning.

And I had insomnia this morning from probably 3 to 5 so I tried to then but it’s not the same as a sitting up meditation

I will meditate and have a quick nap at noon.

Three days so far 2 years ago

My lunchtime meditation is going well. I also scheduled one for the vening just in case. And I booked a website to help me progress so that I’m not always doing the same meditation of concentrating on the breath and emptying my mind as much as possible.

Here’s something I want to meditation on: my Chinese horoscope. I’m posting it here just to remind myself.

A romance will begin to develop rapidly and bring you unspeakable joys. Don’t let yourself be overcome by your concerns, profit by the pleasures which life offers you. Make a draining of your entire digestive tract by drinking much plain water. You’ll feel a great desire to strengthen family ties. You’ll want to charm, you’ll be enthusiastic, reacting with much kindness and delicacy.

Time to restart 2 years ago

I remember being happier and a bit (perhaps) more organized when I started this goal.

I am reading a book about meditation right now. And I am thinking of doing it with the end goal in mind of learning all I can at a reasonable pace, and then offering guided meditation classes to help people find ease if not peace, and accomplish common spiritual goals.

clearly I don't want this bad enough! 2 years ago

I need some of my discipline to come from elsewhere.

Like my goal to say hi to a stranger every day, this one I’ll continue if and whenever I feel like. If I need to do yoga, I’ll do it. If I need to meditate, I’ll do it.

And I’ll try to do either one or both at least once a week.
