it suffered from my lousy increasing so I frogged it until I can practice more. I’d like to be able to convert it to the round, too, but I am not confident that I could sort that out on my own. I think Jared Flood did an article on this recently in, maybe, Vogue Knitting. I’ll have to try to track that down.

I need to branch out…stop doing just scarves. :) I need to learn to knit in the round, get over my fear of DPN’s and make a sock or two, and maybe take on a larger project such as a pullover or something similar.
Right now I’m pretty pathetic. I used to blame it on being new, but I think I’m just lazy.

I am working on a scarf and I have not had to take any of it out and I am still at the same stitches that I started with. Which for me is an accomplishment in its self.
I’m working on my first hat ever and it’s going good for far. I splurged and bought some 100% wool in this gorgeous fading blue and purple yarn. I hope it turns out!
I’m going to use a gift card I have to buy the Bitch ‘n Stich knitting book. I think my main problem is that I was never formally trained how to knit so everytime I read those patterns my head spins! It’s a totally new language! But I really need more free time to get better :)
i’ve been working on this and am in the process of working on a sweater kind of thing that has challanged me and am also working on another item that uses methods that i personally have never done, so again, it’s just stretching me. i am so much more relaxed when i knit.

I made my first sock, so I guess I’m a better knitter!
Always room to become better, though.
So, yes, I’ve become better than I was. And I want to do it again—I want to become even better!

My knitting goes in cycles. It’s in full-force now and I don’t want to stop. Granted, I’ve only made a hat and a dishcloth so far, but am on my second dishcloth. Who knows what’ll be next?!
I am a better knitter than when I started, and I have a more specific knitting goal on my list right now…
