How to visit new york"Busy, exhausting, fun, and exhilirating."
How I did it: In a nutshell: I let my wife plan it. She wanted to plan out the New York end of the trip, so I left her to it, with a few suggestions of my own. She booked the hotel, made reservations at restaurants, and planned out most of the sightseeing. However, I can give a few small bits of advice. Lessons & tips:
Resources: The Pod Hotel: a quirky, clean, and reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Manhattan. There are four bathrooms on each floor that are shared between all the rooms, but there was never a lineup when we went, and each suite has a sink. Some rooms even have bunk beds!

How I did it: The first time I went with friends, I remember picking a city that would be fun and the rest is a blur. Once we were there we did a handful of touristy things and explored. How I did it: Having always wanted to go to New York (ever since the Big Apple days, and being a big Lennon fan), I got the oppertunity to stay with friends in Boston and took the train down to NYC for a few days. I had a great time. Best thing - seeing someone in a Pannama hat and flip-flops crossing a busy road carrying a standard lamp. God I love New Yorkers ! Read how I did it…
How I did it: My best friend got a nanny job out in NYC, so I just kept watching Orbitz for a good ticket price. She actually lives in a suburb, so we took the train in for the day and walked around or took the subway around. Then took the train home. Read how I did it…

I’ve been twice in New York. Well not really in New York. Only at the airport. And that does not count at all. It’s been several years a dream of mine to go to New York, explore the city and do the touristy things. Ride in yellow cab, and eat hot dogs. Experience New York. But so far, have not had enough money to go there. One day though, one day I will go.
