I stopped volunteering at the Dog pound for awhile as my arthritis hurt me walking the dogs. Instead, I am going to start helping at the local kitty shelter, as it will be easier on me, soon. I also met 2 new people at a new church I began attending that work at the local soup kitchen. I am starting there soon. I can’t wait. Nothing makes me feel better than doing good for others. WWJD? He would feed the hungry…among other things. :)

I would definitely like to volunteer more often, and we have a Humane Society where I live, and many people have volunteered there. Except, I am fairly against the idea because the shelter we have IS a kill shelter. So I am a little biased towards working there or not. I don’t know what to do, volunteer, or oppose because it does not support what I truly believe in.
A few months ago I started volunteering at a domestic violence shelter again and this weekend I am working at a food bank. I volunteered a lot in college and am glad that I started again.

I love animals! period!
I took me a while to find an organization I liked, but I eventually found the Organization for Bat Conservation! Once I started working there I fell in love with the work. It feels good to give my time to people that need and appreciate it. It’s good for the soul (and your resume! lol). Do it!
suwonian is working on the next amazing chapter in life.
got to do more of this… not sure how, as I’m living in a country where i can’t speak the language and don’t know most of the issues. still, i used to do some of this back home and not lending a hand is starting to leave a hole in my life…
It’s our duty to give back to those who are less fortunate….Together we can make a difference :). I love how my Job at the Home Depot allows me to do this….every month we have volunteer events to help the less fortunate . This month it’s at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
