today I got bored enough at work that I reviewed 3 chapters from one review book.
Cardiac
Abdominal
and Ocular/Dental emergencies….
Abdominal is by far my best, and that is probably because its still the #1 complaint for which we see patients….

Going to now enter it into a notebook.
Probably won’t be any ocular emergencies on the test, but we do see them fairly often….

This goal is ON
Today I will go to gym, and then possibly go and drop some cash at the coffee shop and make a study plan. I have been dragging this one out.
Now that I have completed all the the kajillion certifications for the job, I can add this one, as a “jewel in the crown” I also know that if I get it it pretty much gaurentees me a raise in 6 months, so why the heck not?
Must figure out how many months I need to study. and then just get it done.

I learned last night that adults can indeed be affected by Reyes syndrome. This is an interesting thing and will improve my practice as a nurse, plus, maybe help me to pass this darned exam.

a bit today whilst walking, so knocking two goals off at the same time! I now understand more about calcium antagonists and certain beta blockers. I’m starting to feel a bit nervous about this one.

noting that some of my index cards include things like misspelt words, and some strange additions, I realize these are being made when I am at work, and not as alert as I am at home…Something about 2 am…sure I can save your life at 0200, but I can;t really write clearly. SO I’m going to write cards at home and review at work…
We’ll see.
