    Carolin is enchanted

    Man! 10 months ago

I can’t even remember the last time I did this! I need to read through my goals more often. I seriously forget them.

Also, I bought and was given about 80 used books in the last couple of months, so I don’t go to the library so much any more.

Read the book Emma by Jane Austen and left a pretty postcard that I never got to use from bermuda with a fortune cookie note saying…”You will be inspired by nature” pasted on the back.

I felt almost giddy putting the book back on the shelf. I am amused by the smallest of things :).

    Me, too 22 months ago

    What a great idea.

    JadedForever just is.

I keep hoping- 2 years ago

that I will find a note, quote or a picture!!
I have left a few quotes in a few books.
Off to the library again today.
Maybe if someone finds one of mine in a book they will be inspired to do the same.

daydreamingmom wondering why I haven't done these things on this list in the last yea

Last couple of books 2 years ago

I have put a little note saying “great book” or whatever in the last couple books I checked out. And I even made a book recommendation in one. But, short of that, I don’t really know what to say, lol.

If I think about it with my next books I will keep doing it. I think I’ll leave a note in Feast of Crows. Not sure what I will say yet though…

I have two library books to return next week. I need to write a short note and put it in them. I wonder what I will say…

Crime and Punishment 2 years ago

Thankfully it picked up about page 200 or so and had some interesting dialog.
ie “Whats the most offensive is not their lying – one can always forgive lying – lying is a delightful thing, for it leads to truth, what is offensive is that they lie and worship their own lying…..”

I had to check it out twice and push my self through parts of it but all in all I’d say it was worth reading. I may have read part of it when I was younger because I seem to recall the horrible horse beating dream the main character had.

I was a bit more irritated with the main character in the book than the scoundrel.

been slacking lately... 2 years ago

I should change that goal too though. I only do this if I liked the book (which is most of the time.)
Because that way only people who have the same taste in books will find them =)

    I've noticed... 3 years ago

That I don’t really check out books at the library all that often in the winter. Our library is so close to the house that it’s a great little excursion to walk down to the library, hang out and come home with an armful of books. However in the winter, I’m much more inclined to buy book to read at my leisure and keep in my ever expanding (and as my boyfriend calls it, out of control) book collection. So I think I’m goin to see if I can rope my poor little kiddies in to helping me out with this. We can find some cute little quotes, notes or stickers to hide in their school library books for their schoolmates and librarian to find.

Ok , I'm closing this out even though its a continuous goal 3 years ago

for future notes they may be something that will

    be encouraging words,
what I am feeling or thinking at the moment,
commentary on what the writer wrote,
something totally irrelavent to the text but that I found interesting and might lead someone on the way to something new to check out.

I guess I’ll know what I want to write at the moment that I decide to and do, I probably will not have any gems to add but try to think of what I would find interesting, funny, or neat if someone left it for me when deciding what to write.

Oh!, and I believe I may drop a fairly anonymous email address in my next note.
