write one letter a month

A few weeks our pumpkin said she wasn’t getting the amount of mail she got last year in college. So, dad and I decided to make a bigger effort to send her something at least once a week. Last week was a magazine we thought she would enjoy and we just sent another package with a little note. Mail is exciting and good mail (not bills) can make your day!

I have done over half of my thank you’s from my 40th birthday party. These aren’t particularly newsy letters, but they count as actual letters going out into the actual mail!

I have to say that writing thank you notes are the easiest! I sent one with a bill to my web provider, one to the optometrist that helped me get my dad new glasses in one day, and a sympathy card to someone at the vet who had to put their favorite dog to sleep. Easy breezy… cards.

Growing up I always had a few at a time and would randomly get fun letters in the mail. It was always such a treat. The internet has robbed us of this simple pleasure I think.

I used to do this more often… now I don’t even know who I would write. Hmmmm.
