Though I have accomplished it for this month…maybe I’ll get back to making it a conscious effort in a bit…but not for now.

So far this month, I’ve been to the new Thai place in town and I’ve taken a vacation from work without having plans…just to take the days off…and that is definitely new…so I’ve accomplished it for this month!
Went to Atlanta alone (and totaled my car while there) Went to several food places I’ve never been…let my son ride a bus to and from school (and go to the stop alone) Got promoted at my job and now work in management…had my legs waxed…went to lots of new places in my new neighborhood.
I’m sure that’s one a month since I was able to visit 43T!
I hosted a dinner party…not family coming over…a true dinner party…2 other couples for a real meal…it was nice.
That doesn’t mean that I can’t do something else new, right? This morning I took my DS to breakfast at a little neighborhood coffee shop/bookstore…not one of thos big chain deals…the little local ones…good coffee and a few special moments with my DS.
that I’ve never been to before for dinner on Saturday…so that makes 2 things for this month…Yipee…one month down.
I will consider this one done if I do it for 3 straight months.
A new place…the new coffee shop…which was great by the way…and a new thing…my hubby went with me to a work function! WOW…how’s that for new things ;)
Should happen Saturday night…there’s a new coffee shop downtown on the square. That’s where our company Christmas party is going to be held…so I’ll get to go somewhere new.
Now it seems like something to look forward to instead of something I feel like I need to force in some way. If I make this for 3 consecutive months I’ll mark it off my list.
I think perhaps each week is a little much…there are so many ongoing commitments to my time that to try to find something new every week may be stretching it. Perhaps I should edit this one to be twice a month or something a little more realistic to my current life. Once a week might be a possibility later when I’m not caring for children while working full time…but for now I think this might be more of pressure than pleasure. Think I’ll edit this goal.
