How to have straight teeth

How I did it: When I was 13, the dentist decided I needed braces to fix an overbite and straighten my teeth. I was referred to an orthodontist. I suffered 3 horrible years of braces. Thankfully, I was able to get the clear braces on top, so they were practically invisible. They were a bitch to take care of, but the results are wonderful. Lessons & tips: I don't know -- see an orthodontist. I think they have invisiline now, so you don't need braces, they have those mouth trays. You'll feel confident and better about yourself. How I did it: When I was in fifth grade my parents told me I need braces. I cried! The last thing I ever wanted was braces, and when I figured out that I had to have braces I was destroyed! I had all kinds of braces because me teeth was so messed up. Because of my genes I didn't get all my teeth again after I lost them as a kid, so I needed braces to make my teeth look prettier. At the moment i have braces and i have had them for bout a year and a half.They have really helped to straighten my teeth up. It has also given me so much confidence to meet new people and do things.

before braces, my mouth looked like a trainwreck.
i have severe overjet and a terrible overbite, not to mention three of my canines were way out of place making me look like a crippled vampire.
i have had braces for 1.5 years right now and things are just starting to get better. i am about half way through.
Delphi really doesn't need another status message to set.

I mean, how many people do you go up to and say, “Here’s a ridiculous amount of money. One hour of mind-numbing pain and discomfort, please.”? For good or ill, my parents were never onboard with the whole dentist thing for me or my sisters. Probably due to the cost. So, while I’ve taken good care of my teeth since I was old enough to recognize the importance, mine are still in need of some work. The biggest issue will probably be getting my wisdoms out. I have one tooth that’s noticeably crowded out of its proper alignment, and I don’t think there’s room for it till I get that done. Beyond that… I dunno. Guess we’ll see. Don’t have the money for anything now, in any case.

Just got the braces off 10/23/07! My teeth are straight, however after wearing braces for the past 5 years I have developed some sort of gum problem. ::SIGH:: I’m on the fence about if it was really worth all the time and expense.
