Okay so in the midst of the moment,during a little event at my school….i got mixed up into sum crap…now i have to do a split lol…:( but thts not the problem, its the dancing leading up to it,...the split i can get done, the dancing?? 0_o….......call the ambulance. 3 months ago

So I started stretching twice a day but holding each position for a minute hurts so much that I felt like crying the first time! I won’t give up as it was my new year’s resolution to do a split. Hope to feel some progress (less pain) soon :/ 7 months ago

I’ve only been stretching for the split 2x per week. I got a new roller (okay, okay, it’s a 4” PVC pipe. Foam is for pussies) and I gotta amp my routine up to at least 4x. Resetting the date to October 16. 8 months ago

I’m getting back into competitive fighting, and I’ve let myself get into horrible shape. My agility, flexibility, strength, power, conditioning and timing are all crap.
My mind throws snap kicks to the head while sparring, and my body can’t compensate for what my brain knows it used to be able to do. Time to do good old flexibility training and rack up some killer kicks again.
So this goal is to be able to do full front splits, either leg, in 6 weeks, which gives me until August 22. Then I’ll work on to my side split training. 10 months ago

This is going to take a lot of stretching over the next year but I’ve already seen some encouraging results since i started stretching. I can touch my elbows to the ground which is definitely an improvement from the first sorry attempt I made. The main reason I even have this on my to do list is to maximize my stride length for pitching. The longer the stride the more power there is behind the pitch. There’s not much to do here but continue to keep stretching and I have continued to do this. Eventually someday I’ll get there at this pace but there’s no substitute for hard work. 16 months ago
