I helped some friends go there when it was in South Africa. It was very moving for them and they made many contacts. Principally it showed them how exoteric relion is for most of the planet, and that the esoteric roots are all but forgotten.
Swami Vivekananda gave a spontaneous speech at the Parliament in Chicago in 1893, where his personal presence stunned the audience and for which he received an extended standing ovation. He was the forerunner of Adi Da Samraj.
