Learn Sanskrit

this is great…learnt some basics in school…but have a long way to go and dont know where to go….anyway….somewhere, someday….

I want to be able to read the ancient Vedic texts!

I’ve flirted with this idea for quite a long time, but today a friend brought me a “teach yourself” book. So exciting.

i want to be an ayurveda practitioner, and learning Sanskrit would be very useful in this field.

What a beautiful, basic language. Why wouldn’t I want to speak it?

I finally got through learning the devanagari script; it took me a long time, but now I can work on sanskrit! One site that I found that I don’t believe was mentioned is this one:

Sometimes the wording of the stuff can be a bit weird; but otherwise it seems like an awesome resource. Good luck to everyone else out there trying to learn this awesome language!
