How I did it: I purchased some plane tickets and flew to Texas where I stayed with my brother for about a year before I went back to California. I want to move back to Texas for good. Lessons & tips: West Texas is hot and dry. East Texas is fairly wet. I was around the DFW area and it was ok. Keep an eye out for tornadoes and know how to keep yourself safe if one should pop up. |

Like Steaks, probably can’t get better than Texas for that. Love Tex-Mex food Again Texas should be good for that. Would like to try horse riding american style…maybe play at being a cowboy !

For spring break I came down to TX to get away from Greensboro and to visit my bf and his family. GREAT FUN! We saw Dallas, Beaumont, and Gavelston. I am excited to get into Houston since this will be my new home!

I’m there right now. Or should I say “here right now” . . . ? eh, who cares. Yeah, I’m in Texas visiting a friend. This little burg call Huntsville halfway between Dallas and Houston.
It’s an interesting place so far. The funny thing is I was told the only “tex-mex” resturaunt in town in Chili’s . . . . dunno how I’d feel about that. Well, it’s good to get away for a while and see the state. Oh yeah, and there’s night-time driving speed limits here. Crazyness.

The cities are so different…. So far I have been to Dallas and Ft Worth (did not realize that there was a difference). San Antonio, Austin, Houston , El Paso and a number of smaller ones. All on business and always eating alone. Grrr….. :-)
Anyway, funny to talk to my daughter about these trips as she always wants to know if I met any cowboys or saw any cows. :-)

Texas is interesting in terms of how the cities differ… I was in Dallas a few weeks back and am heading to San Antonio for a few days. Love the Riverwalk.

So I visited Texas. And my mom got sick. Texas stinks. No wonder my sister hates it.
