Dieting and watching ingredients is easier than it seems.. .or is it? 6 months ago

Dieting, yes, it has coaxed me into eatting healthier. No more of the fast food cheeseburgers that have a bah-zillion calories. ( which is fine because beef makes me feel not so good). Now I am looking more for chicken breast, or yogurt, or salads. Granted, getting food poisoning more than once last year did have sooommmething to do with that.
So far getting in the habit is not too terribly hard. I choose home cooked meals over going out, allowing me to make sure that the ingredients are healthy and cooked in a way that is satisfactory ( as opposed to slathered with grease and then deep fried and then slathered with more grease).

I want to start eating healthier because healthy food is good and it’s good for your body!

mindful eating 9 months ago

I am going to try to be more mindful of what I eat and the inherant health value of the food I put into my body.as well as how it effects the way I feel.

Trying to start the New Year right. 10 months ago

We eat out alot and I have a busy schedule so this is difficult for me.
However today we had lunch at Red Robin and for the first time in my life I had a Fish Burger. It wasn’t bad but it was huge and I ate to much. For dinner we went to Tia Pans and I had a Tai Pad noodle bowl with chicken. Used chopsticks to slow down my eating added fresh squeezed orange slices to my sprite and left about a third of it uneaten.

too much junk food

Well.... 14 months ago

I put this goal here and forgot about it, but subcounsiously have been acheiving it. I eat more veggies now, drink more water, have cut out soda and sweets ( save for a weekend relapse). Tomarrow will be my first day transitioning to the raw food diet. yay!

with my diet right now. My weekday breakfasts consist of porridge with water + seasonal fruit. Lunch is usually pitta bread with fresh veg – sometimes some roast chicken,or mackerel and weekend evening meals fluctuate between pasta, curry, stir fry and risotto – most usually vegetarian. Snacks include fruit and home-made cake.

The fish/meat/veg ratio is probably 15/25/60. Alcohol is my biggest indulgence – I treat myself to a half bottle of good wine twice a week over a meal. I also drink two cups of coffee a day – after that, then just tap water.

Went to the grocery store tonight and bought lots of fruits, veggies, whole grain pastas & bread, freshly sliced deli lunch meat, 2% milk, +calcium OJ, etc.
Let’s see if we can just make this a habit. They say if you can keep doing something every day for a month it will become a habit. (fingers crossed)
