Pretty awesome…would do it again in a heartbeat!

In May 2004, I had a chance to get my photo taken with the Stanley Cup at the Sunridge Mall in northeast Calgary. Even though it was on my way home from work, and even though I had NOTHING to do that evening and no reason to rush home, I thought, “Nah, the lineup will be too long,” and kept going home.

Today I think, “WHAT WAS I THINKING?”

I wish I’d gone ahead and kissed it, but I was wearing lipstick. It was all I could muster just to touch it, because I didn’t feel worthy, if you know what I mean. It’s just so cool.

Such an incredible piece of history. It’s almost like you instantly connect with all of those who have held it before you.
