How I did it: I started my own business last November, my business is ran from my home and my deadlines mean I can quite easily stay in bed until mid-afternoon.However I always find I feel more alert and am more productive if I get up earlier. I'm REALLY not a morning person so waking up on my own steam was difficult.I decided that the best way for me to do this was to invite people to use my apartment as THEIR office as well... a few of my friends sta… Read how I did it…
How I did it: It's really not hard. Make sure to get plenty of sleep or you WILL feel tired all the next day, and if you need to make it a habit, get an alarm clock. A worthwhile investment, indeed. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I did not actually aim for this goal, but it came as a lucky side-effect of another decision.I joined the 24h real-time strategy game "Travian". Very soon I noticed that the game gives advantage to playing in unusual times. (I suppose that most of 24h real-time strategy games have a similar feature.)Now I have no problem getting up early. I am now more productive at work, and in addition, I get satisfaction of robbing my opponents of thei… Read how I did it…

My goal is to wake up around 5am or 6am every weekday, and no later than 10am on weekends / holidays. I will gradually start waking up earlier in small increments. (Currently 9am on weekdays, noon-5pm on weekends.)
I’m tired of being tired all the time. Whenever I get into the habit of waking up early, I feel great, but the habit doesn’t last long. One morning, I’ll wake up a little later. Pretty soon I’m hitting the snooze button 4-5 times and feeling awful again.
I would really like to combine this with running. Maybe wake up at 5:30 every morning for a run.
I want to wake up before 5 for one month. Then if I feel that it is not worth, I will give up. Waking up very late in the morning really gets in my way a lot and probably is the key to start working on my life dreams, I believe. I am going to start my trial from Oct 11. Meanwhile, I am going prepare myself for that…Probably will move my wake up time from 9ish to 7ish, to help get started.

With certain of my friends, it’s very easy to fall into a cycle of hanging out till sunup and then crashing most of the morning away. Really, though, I’m a creature that needs sun, and the best way to catch more sun is to wake up earlier. Usually I’m up by 7, even after a late night out.
why oh why can’t i just wake up when i FIRST wake up!!! argggghhhh!! only got myself to blame :) so… now i self motivate. how? um…
I get 5 dollars every time I wake up by 8am. 5 days equals 25 dollars so by friday i can buy myself a shirt or something i normally wouldn’t – yay.
now i only have to remember this every morning… :P
not waking up on time had dire consequences.
here’s hoping i’ve learned my lesson :(
not a total failure but not at all good either – need to sleep on time and get up when i first wake up!!!

Considering it’s the summer, I don’t mean wake up terribly early. I want to get up before 10 at least 30 times, and before 11 at least 60 times (that includes waking up before 10).
It’s early yet, so I’ve been sleeping in late. Here’s my progress:
Before 10: 30 / 30
Before 11: 60 / 60

This is going to be ROUGH. College, and then years working at newspapers (doing the 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. shift!) has made me into a night owl. I have a 9-5 job now, and would like to wake up early to work out. I get enough sleep. The only thing keeping me from doing this is my own laziness!
