that I used to nap for procrastination. Just thinking about the things I needed to accomplish was enough for me to feel tired. Now I nap when I’m exhausted because I’ve been going non-stop for a few days.
I’m okay with that. I’ve decided it’s the difference between napping to avoid work/issues and napping because I’m running at top speed. I also nap with less frequency than I did when it was a tool for avoidance. Instead of daily 2 hour naps, I’m averaging a single 3 hour nap a week.
This sufficiently qualifies as “napping less.” Goal accomplished!

Same problem
Hmmm, I babysit from 8am-12, 2-6, 7-midnight, go home, try to squeeze in some laundry or reading and pull this off for about 4 days in a row, then have a crash day where I’m not scheduled to sit in the afternoon or evening, so I sleep for 3 hours, then get up and play catch up on my projects. So napping for the sake of napping is over. But I still feel that it must be slightly unhealthy to “need” to crash every few days. Suggestions?

I did well over the past week, I didn’t take any naps. Today, however, I crashed. I slept for 3 hours in the middle of the afternoon. But since I’ve been working so much, and not sleeping enough at night (2, {or was it 3? I don’t even remember!} consecutive nights of less than 6 hours of sleep)I’ve forgiven myself for it. I think this means I need to work longer nights into my schedule so I don’t lose my daytime hours

I didn’t have a nap today (Saturday) and I still had plenty of energy. :)

I just looked back on the last couple of months and realized I haven’t napped at all. Strangely enough, I have tried (for things like knowing I’ll be working overnight) and I can’t seem to do it anymore.
That’s okay, it gave me more of my day back.
