have a romantic moment

I’ve never been in love, never had a romantic moment, my age i shall not disclose but I should have had a fire works moment by now, or at least a kiss.
Im not sure what i do to make myself unable to have one of these moments, or perhaps i should just wait and one will come along to me.

kissed under a full sky of stars

It had to be spontantious. It had to be a surprise. It had to be simple. It had to make those butterflies start dancing in my stomach.

It involved an overnight stay at a resort at the end of summer. After a lobster dinner (my first) standing on the balcony looking over the railing onto the ocean. Removed from the rest of the summer and the rest of our lives as we knew them.

The moon in a way I had never seen it before. Like it was only like that just that one time – shining in a perfect triangle on the water. The only light in front of us.

We, the only two on the balcony, holding our glasses and feeling the salty breeze on our faces.

The moment is not the weekend. Not the dinner or massage or rose petals. It was not the picnic or the homemade cd. It was only there, on the balcony, with the waves in front of us and the band behind.
