How I did it: I've always wanted to watch Woody Allen films when I was younger but never did, I caught 3 on tv but thats it and you need to watch more than that to appreciate Woody Allen. I decided that since they never came on tv, it would be pointless to buy them when intending to only watch most once, I just decided to download them off the internet.I started watching the popular most liked ones first then the unknowns. Saw “Deconstructing Harry” a couple of days ago, wich wasn’t one of his best movies, I think. The idea was very interesting; telling the main character’s story by switching between real persons from his life and fictive characters that he as a writer invented. But the story itself got lost among all those people…
so far I’ve watched:
Annie Hall
Match Point
Vicky Christina Barcelona
all of which were awesome, I’ll be posting more as I watch them
One of Woody’s better efforts from his mid-career period. It’s pretty much a love letter to his childhood (or childhood era), but a realistic one. It doesn’t hide the warts, but it lovingly looks back.
It’s a good flick.
