I just love looking at sterograms and I’ver doing it for years. Once in a great while I find one I can’t do and it drives me crazy.
How to be able to finally see the hidden images in Stereograms
How I did it: Relax your eyes and look THROUGH the page. You have to experiment with the distance of it from your eyes. I start with the picture a little close (like 5 inches away) and slowly move it farther if I can't get it. The key is to un-focus your eyes (don't try to stare at the picture) and look past the image.

once you get the hang of it. We have a book full of these here at home…some were easier to see than others.
me-ow. is all fired up
Crossing your eyes while staring at the pic and then uncrossing them usually works. (But it sometimes inverts the intended hidden picture.)
When I was little, my dad taught me to see the hidden pics by holding a finger close to the picture and then moving it futher and futher away from the pic. If you focus on your finger (or whatever) instead of directly on the pic, that may help.
Good luck to everyone! I don’t know if it’s possible for everyone either, as my mom and cousin (as well as various friends) can’t see them at all.
After reading tarunur’s entry yesterday I decided to give this another chance..
I stared at four different stereograms until I figured it out. In order to see the hidden image you’ll need to stare through the image (by crossing your eyes a bit). The hidden image will appear as a cutout of two layers.
p.s – can anyone else see the hidden alien in the attached photo?
Or at least let them wander. I discovered that you get the same effect if you stare for a long time (mindlessly, not intently) at the Windows Control Panel. The individual icons go away and start floating on top of this depthless background.
But really, what’s the point here? This is pretty useless.
Stare at the picture, and then through the picture as if it wasn’t there. :)
Hope it helps! :)
Seriously, this has haunted me since elementary school! i Never understood what I was supposed to do, and now that I know HOW to do it, I still am not able to! So frustrating.
Is it possible that some people just won’t be able to see the hidden images ever..?
