Keep checking craigslist for hot tubs. Also check for specials at various spa places.
In the meantime, perhaps starting a savings account for this goal?

Me and my wife have had this as a material goal for several years now. After enjoying friends hot tubs we are certain that we would take advantage of having one on a weekly basis. Within the next 18 months.

Considering that we are extremely unlikely to buy a house in 2007 - my husband’s come to a fork in his career path and could be in school for the next 2-6 years - I am reluctantly saying goodbye to the hot tub goal. For. Now.
