I can’t wait to accomplish this goal! I looked on the official Arbor Day Foundation website (arborday.org) and found that Arbor Day is always celebrated on the last Friday in April. This year, that happens to be April 24th. I started researching what trees would grow best in our area, but decided that when it gets closer to the date, I’ll just go to our local Earl May and ask a sales person. I still need to decide where to plant this tree… I’m not sure if my mom would want another tree in our yard or not :\

This goal just occured to me, and now I’m really excited about it. After all – NEBRASKA is the home of ARBOR DAY! Of course I’ve heard about it, but I never really thought much about it… I think Arbor Day is sometime in the spring. I’ll need to do some more research, but now I’m definitely planning on doing this.

where do i plant a tree on my postage stamp FL yard so that the roots don’t invade the foundation of my house, or get caught in power lines in the front and back yard…
that’s been my sticking point, but if i put one in the front off to the side I’ll be good to go…
now… what kind of tree… Rain Tree, Oak???
