I’m mowing with a reel mower. ;-P

I wasn’t really a last minute student in college, but that’s what’s happening with this challenge! I have 2 days to sort out something lasting!

So just to get going on this one, i’m hiking around the pasture a few evenings a week with up-hill jogs.

... in the mornings. What’s up? Think I’m staying up too late. There really isn’t a safe place to jog at home, besides around the pasture. Guess I could use that or go to the track after work. My deadline is July 4th so I’ll try going after work when I get back from the beach.

I like this step method of mine ;-)
Get up tomorrow morning and go out for a long walk with a little jog in the middle (bad knees). Try this 4 times a week (didn’t work last time I tried to do it every morning at 5am, ugh! Even being a morning person, this was hard) So I’ll consider Step 2 once I’ve started doing this regularly. I suppose Step 2 will be jog 1 mile then step 3 will be 2 miles, then i’ll just check it off as completed!
I’ve been going to the gym and lifting weights (casually) for the better part of 2 years. However, I feel like it isn’t really benefiting my health all that much. Add to this the fact that my school’s gym has pretty limited hours of operation, and I just can’t sustain a routine there.
I’ve been suffering from fatigue, and need to do an overhaul of my morning routine. A bit of cardio seems like it might behoove me.
So. I’m going to take up jogging. I don’t need a gym to do it, just legs. I live in downtown Portland, OR and it is quite beautiful in the morning…when it’s not raining. That might impede this goal, but I’ve never tried jogging in the rain. Maybe it’s not so bad.
But now I’m too out of shape. I hope to start slowly and just keep going until I can run for miles. My ipod and a new pair of sneakers should help me with this…and a good sports bra!
I would love to be able to jog a couple of miles without feeling like my heart was going to explode.

I keep procrastinating my goal to start jogging, become really lazy about it! :( need to pep up myself to complete my goal…
Well actually a week ago I made up my mind to start jogging. I’ve only just realised how unfit I am as I can just about walk the distance let alone jog it. It’s only been a week but I defintly feel better.
