have a room in my house where all four walls are book lined

that would be a dream come true

snuggling down on a comfy chair with a hot chocolate and marshmallows and an enormous book. a good one.

Though I still think it’s a cool idea, I recently read something that made me think twice about having a room where all four walls are book-lined. Having a book sit on the shelves of a private collection is a waste of resources, esp when that person doesn’t like to re-read books. Books are meant to be read. Whether it be sent off on freecycle.com or held at a public library, the books will have more use. I just cannot justify having a collection, when it will just only gather dust on my shelves. I have a desire to own books, but I rather not contribute to the unnecessary and excessive consumption of resources.

and the look of books. I can’t think of anything better than snuggling down to read in a room lined with books. So far I have one very long and tall bookcase filled and a couple of small ones.
