ever since i went to manhattan for spring awakening in august 2007, i’ve fallen in love with the city. it’s the only place where i truly don’t mind all of the crowds of people, and i absolutely adore central park. plus manhattan has the theaters, and i want so much to be able to just wake up in the morning and decide to go see a show.
maybe for college?

I finally moved to Manhattan – I lived in the East Village – best time of my life.

I have slept on the kitchen floor of a tiny manhattan apartment when I was passing through backpacking. I wanna go back and sleep on a nice bed in my own room there for a while. NYC rocks.

If you’re going to have the true NYC experience, be prepared to pay for it.
To be perfectly honest, you’ll pay a ton of money for not much space or comfort… but its fine. People in NYC generally regard their apartments as a place to keep their stuff and lay their head down at night. It doesn’t need to be the Taj Mahal.
I always considered the expense a small price to pay to avoid some hellish commute to an outer borough or New Jersey. I walked home from all but the farthest of my jobs – no subway for me!

Living in a loft in Manhattan, with a spectacular view of Times Square has been a life long fantasy of mine. I even have a mental picture of what the place would look like, how I would decorate it, the sounds that I hear coming from the NY traffic. I love it!!
If things go well next year, I plan on looking for a loft there and just having it for when I travel to the East Coast.

I actually lived in Manhattan for 5 years. Then had to move because it was becoming too expensive. I miss it so much. I can’t understand people who say they hate Manhattan and NYC in general. I love this place.
