go to the rodeo

...love the rodeo. Today was a good, small-town, semi-pro rodeo. The stock was of a lesser caliber than, say, the Stampede or the National Western, but it was still a thrill to see one and two ton animals with cowboys on their backs.

Here in Colorado, as soon as it’s summer, there’s so many oppertunities to go and see rodeo. This weekend should be the first of many trips out. It’s the Father’s Day Rodeo in Evergreen, near Idaho Springs and Mount Evans. I’m taking my dad, of course, and my camera. I’m really looking forward to getting into the mountains and seeing my favourite sport.
