I’ve lived in suburbia for over 25 years now and have never appreciated its charms, except as a place to raise kids. The last one graduates high school in June.
I’m searching for a new home near public transportation, interesting coffee houses, neighborhood hangouts, people watching, an easy walk to the library or a book store, a quick bus ride to live music and theater.
Now if I can only throw out half of what I’ve accumulated, then perhaps I’d truly be ready to sell. It might also be smart to wait for the real estate market to perk up but I’d be willing to kiss some profit goodbye just to be out of this place.
