Spend about three hours finishing downloading music and transferred it to my MP3 player this morning….yay! I have 126 of my favorite songs of all time…who couldn’t be happy about that? 5 years ago

I have been collecting and categorizing music to put on my MP3 player for the last two or three days…what’s funny is how few songs are actually making the cut…There are many songs I like that I wouldn’t say had any significant place in my life…The resulting mix is going to be eclectic, at the very least. Crazy you might even say. I don’t think anyone but me is going to appreciate it. But I’m making it for me, so what should I care? I think I’ll continue to collect songs for another week and then download them all the the player. Yay! I’ve been meaning to do this for so long! 5 years ago

my best friend emily and i routinely send each other cds – originally it was music that was from the region, or whatever – but it later progressed into whatever we felt at the time. however, i’ve never actually sat down and thought about the songs that define me, that are the soundtrack to the movie of my life.

there are a few songs that are me, and have always been me from the moment i first heard them:
something for kate: monsters
powderfinger: up and down and back again
the whitlams: no aphrodisiac

this will be an interesting exercise. i know there’ll be a few songs from musicals, probably a few really weird inclusions. it’ll have to be a double cd. excellent fun! 7 years ago

I love music of all kinds. I am trying to find a list of 15-20 songs to put on a c.d. as a ‘soundtrack’ for my life. Right now…the only solid on any playlist I make is Just Like You by Three Days Grace. That is my ANTHEM!! I love to play it loud everytime I’m on the phone with my mother, or when she comes to pick up my son for his weekly visit. Music is wonderful that way. You can use it to insult someone while they’re in the room!!! Though…they may not notice or realize it. 7 years ago
