The box is now 1/3 empty. Most of my tools and implements are on the wall. 20 months ago

How I did it: Took everything off and out of desk and put in a box. I took the box and parked it in front of the TV and sorted everything out. I had categories such as office supplies, to file, to shred, to toss, and has no business being on a desk in the first place. I finished sorting, shredded what needed to be shredded, filed what needed to be filed, got rid of non-working pens and broken mechanical pencils, and put everything away neatly. You can actually sit down and work at the desk now, it is no longer a dumping ground for mail, school work, and who knows what else! Read how I did it… 20 months ago
- Put it all in a box.
- Move any odd bits left over to the box.
- Put out a large sheet and dump everything out of the box.
- Sort it all out, remove trash, recycle everything that can be recycled and put everything in it’s right place.
- Figure out what needs to be done to keep my desk at home clean. 20 months ago
I FINALLY cleaned my desk and it felt soo good to see it well organised and not nasty like it was before, but now after just 2 days, it’s messy again. I guess it’s not meant to be cleaned after all ! 2 years ago
Finished this up on Friday. A lot of the paper cluttering the desk turned out to the clutter, or outdated. It was pretty easy, and not much ended up getting packed to move. Most of it went into File 13.

so I can move in to Reno! It’s slated to be moved on our next trip out there, so I have just a week or two to get everything squared away and packed up.
I’ve already moved the file drawer part of it, so all that’s left to straigten up is the flat surface and the attached shelf unit.
Can’t wait to get it all to Reno so I can finish unpacking everything. 3 years ago
