How to go to Fantasy Fest by 952

"Interesting."

How I did it: I wrapped a sheet around myself with Ivy garland for a headband.  Grabbed a strong walking staff and a few good friends.  Carpooled and then walked for blocks, to take part in one of the world's largest toga parties.  It was nifty, except the rain.  It became a "wet toga contest" :-)            
                                                                                             
            

Lessons & tips: Bring a camera and wear less clothes.

    In Key West 13 months ago

    Fantasy Fest is going on right now, and the parade will be Saturday night. I am an Ambassador(volunteer crowd control) and it will be my first experience with Fantasy Fest. Had our final meeting and route assignments tonight, so I’m ready to work. I’ve brought a few big bags of beads from back home, so this should be a blast!

    Letting loose with my fellow freaks 4 years ago

    I’ve always wanted to go to Fantasy Fest in Key West but never have. I has arrangements to go last year, but I ended up getting divorced instead. This year a hurricane blew through and it was cancelled, so next year I’m definitely going. I’ve been to Key West several times and absolutely love it there. I’ve always been the kind of person to live life on the edge, and between me and all of my friends, I’m definitely wild and crazy one. So for my costume next year, I’m thinking of going for the catholic school girl look, pig-tails, glasses, bobby sox, and rather than a real shirt, I think I’ll have one spray painted on (as is the tradition). When I fantasize about going, I imagine how at home I’ll feel. I’ll be sure to take tons of pictures and post them on-line :)
