stop talking crap

some co-workers were getting mouthy about someone who does annoying stuff (and i agree it is annoying) to our team, but then they got personal and started ripping on her size and her face, and i actually said, you know, i’m just not going to do that with you. and one of the other girls sat up straight and looked at the rest of the group and said, yeah, me either, we don’t need to go there. maybe most of them think i’m a buzzkill, but now they just know not to do that with me. :)

oh yeah, i’m tempted to talk crap to co-workers about a girl who drives us all batty, but the truth is, she is really kind of a mess and is so very nice to me. i remember hearing the advice to never to say anything that you wouldn’t write down, paste to someone’s desk, and sign your name to. i kinda miss bonding over someone else’s foibles, but, really, that is pretty cheap and tacky so i’m trying to rely on my charm and wit instead of my former serpent’s tongue. ;) it takes a little longer, but i do sleep better at night.
