How I did it: I have taken up Yoga - yoga and stretching go hand in hand...Yoga stretches not only the muscles, but also the joints.

Yogic stretching is like a constant battery charger. It loosens tight muscles.
My body which has been quite rigid for a LONG time has begun to experience a remarkable flexibility in all parts, even those parts which have not been consciously worked upon.
I am loving it!

I haven’t lost any flexibility. I have learned a bunch of important things about my right hip after seeing the pt for 8 sessions! I’ll have to put the excercises to use now. Also I joined the Y and went a few times.
This is not the leap I was imagining.
It is a kind of slow progress.

Going to the park after work again, while I wait for the traffic to die down, I believe this is the greatest idea so far of 2009 – I mean I get to run around the park and exercise, work on my flexibility all while the traffic home clears up and I get to go home on empty roads! – not to mention the saving in fuel and stress! ( I don’t think one can actually save on stress but, you know what I mean)
So. i’ve been stretching basically every day, and i believe my flexibility is coming back. i can reach a couple inches beyond my toes. Yay :)
i want to take up yoga, but i do not have the time! that would be a fun new way to strech though…

I have been feeling like a rock lately [you get my picture] – I am stretching my fingers as I write… lol
iv been stretching everyday for 3 days for 40-90mins
sO I can do 14 inch oversplit on left leg and 12 inch on right and full middle split yay but goal is 20 for all
aliaaaaa starts school for the second to last time next week.
I’m pretty flexible by nature, but I feel like I’ve lost a lot of it since I stopped doing yoga a while back. I’d like to do stretching to get me back to being more flexible!
I used to be very flexible, and I want to try to get to that point again. Plus, it helps in other situations ;)
