Go to Easter Island

apperently, after the natives of Easter Island where starved to death by the lack of natural resources (taken away by the white man) they were forced into cannibolism! Its super interesting, and theres a bunch of rlly cool giant tikki heads! ahh i want to visit.

5 hours from santiago chile, you have to get there on LAN chile. best place ever, so beautiful and mysterious!

I came across an artical about Easter Island today on MSNBC and it was verrrry interesting. It talked about everything from tourist hot spots to their failed civilazation. The most interesting part was when a native they interviewed compared what happened there to what could happen to the rest of the world in the near future if people continue to squander the natural resources we have. It made me really think. It also made me really want to see some of the natural beauty of this world before its all gone.

Ah! This would be so cool to do. Read Jared Diamond’s (2007?) book ‘Collapse’ as it tells a good bit on Easter Island’s failed civilization.

is going to be pretty chokka for me this year so will have to ponder the solar eclipse while doing yoga in the yucatan .. i think i can live with that :o)

I want to go to the wind swept, isolated island so far from mankind and his crazy existence. I want to see nothing but grass all around me.

theres a full solar eclipse in 2008 thats visible (optimum) from easter island, i’m planning my trip to coincide with this, what a place to see the eclipse!

Easter Island is my new favorite color. I shall make it into a yarn someday.
