learn how to shuffle cards

I love playing card games, but I’m no good at shuffling. It’s embarrasing when someone asks me to shuffle the cards and I can’t.

I read tarot cards and I like card games.. but every time I do a reading for someone I look like an idiot and I’m like “hey.. shuffle these..” I always like end up playing 52 pickup everytime it’s irritating.

Then they give me that stupid dumbfound look… “you can’t shuffle? really?” then the do like this big tricked out shuffle trick and I’m like.. augh.. you guys suck.

So I wanna learn cooler shuffling tricks so I can make them hate me instead.
Just kidding, I love everyone, even people who can shuffle.

One summer about five years ago or so my parents taught my brother and I how to play euchre and how to shuffle cards. It’s a quick thing to learn actually and kinda fun :)

I didn’t learn how to do this until I was in my Junior year of college and once I did it got to the point that it became a problem. I actually managed to wear out two decks of cards which were never used to play a game by simply shuffling them over and over again. Of course that was before I saw it becoming a problem and tore them up over a trashcan as it wasn’t like I really needed a deck anyway as I’m not that fond of card games to begin with.

i used to shuffle compulsively….it was a kind of nervous habit…i had a teacher in college who liked for me to shuffle during critiques because i would speak better

I’m almost 33 years old and couldn’t shuffle. But my friend just spent a couple nights teaching me and figuring out the mechanics of what I was doing wrong and now I can manage. I’m not great, but I’m not ashamed to play cards with people anymore. So if you can’t do this and it’s making you not want to play cards with people, it’s worth learning.
