Just get some ski poles and practice with them in your hands while you ride the unicycle, eventually start lifting them in the air to see how far you can ride without them, if you start to tip use them to brace yourself up. It takes probably 2 weeks of practice but its totally worth it

You exercise mucscles you did not even know you had. Also it is not like riding a bike, your body does forget how. Very good fun.
Serafina Longarina is an extraordinary machine.
The good news: Charlie has a unicycle! I randomly passed him riding it on the sidewalk a couple weeks ago!
The bad news: Charlie is extremely tall, and therefore has a special unicycle built for tall people. I, on the other hand, am extremely short. Phooey.
Unicycling is addictive, once you get past the couple of weeks it took me to get proficient, it is so much fun and strangely mind-relaxing just to ride around. After that there are lots things you can do, like hopping up and over things, going backwards, mountain unicycling, juggling and lots of tricks. It’s good exercise too.
Learning to ride a unicycle has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Get over to www.unicyclist.com and get hooked up with everybody else who rides- it’s a great place for tips and stuff.
I learned how to ride a uni about three years ago when a friend of mine was riding his Coker Unicycle across iowa on Ragbrai but called it the GURAI
It takes a while to learn how to ride but it is lots of fun and a great time. I like to ride my unicycle not to show people what I can do on a uni but to show people what you can do on a uni.
Good Times!
