De-phob a homophob

Homophobes really get on my bum..
Gay people are no different to everyone else..
Hating someone because of their sexual preference (?!)
Just no..

I am on a clinical rotation right now at a military hospital and the tech area I work from is stuffed full of people who think that it is just peachy fine to talk about how horrible and wierd faggots and lesbos are, and how faggots and lesbos don’t deserve to have the right to the sort of privilages that go along with marriage or life time commitments amongst straights….blah, blah, blah. You’d think that gays were baby killing unicorns from hell (rare, murderous, evil) from the way these people talk.
It makes me so angry, and it makes me so sad.
In my “clinical evaluation” I am writing their site up extensively for inappropriate and discriminitory bullshit. I am afraid that my comments may fall on deaf ears, no matter how well written or logical. A friend of mine, who is a gay man, will be there next semester. I’ve warned him about what to expect there. Some day I hope that I won’t have to do that sort of thing. Besides this amazing piece of lameness, its been an awesome place to train.
