experience culture shock

There’re different levels of culture shock and it goes in cycles – the initial “everything’s strange” stage, then acceptance and having fun with all the novelty, then possibly boredom and rebellion against it, leading on eventually to either permanent dillusionment or else permanent satisfaction with the host culture. This process can take years.

I think I was born into culture shock, I just didnt have the vocabulary to know what it was …my culture shock is of the U.S. and I was born (t)here. I think I must have come from outer space . ..
