Friend has a gorgeous, new one sitting in her garage, worth hundreds. All I need to do is make the time to pick it up! Have tried calling this past weekend, but couldn’t get ahold of them. Going to see her tomorrow and set something up. :)

I found a 10 gallon aquarium that somebody was throwing away in their front yard. I took it home and washed it out. When it didn’t leak and appeared to be in pretty good shape, I thought something along the lines of “well, now that I’ve got the tank I may as well go ahead and buy the other stuff.” Turns out the tank isn’t even one of the more expensive things you have to buy. I’ve spent way more money on “other stuff” (heater, filter, cover/light, pH and Nitrate kits, decor, thermometer, food, gravel vac, etc.)
Several months and $200+ later I’ve got a nice, simple, stable tank set up with two fish living in it. I’m hoping to get a few more soon. Anyway. Keeping fish is a good hobby if you have the patience and the money for it.

So I know that I want the Aquaone UFO tank (its 3 sided) in pink and I want a whole school of beautiful guppies in there.
Sigh, I can’t wait to get one set up and sit on my couch watching it while I smoke a fat joint hmmmmm heaven.

Wwll you are in your room and there is this aquarium on the side – full of colourful fish, swimming around with ot a care in the world.
Lots of pretty fish. Watch them scamper around once you feed them.
A bit tough at first, keeoing the fish and making sure that they survive – but once the aquarium cycle stabilizes – just watch the pretty fish swim around.

What’s better, an acrylic tank or a glass tank? The one I had for years and years was glass, but the acrylic ones are cheaper and lighter (which seems like it’d make it easier to move in the future). What are the cons of an acrylic tank?

I want an aquarium again! I had a big 40-gallon freshwater tank for years and years, but then moved around a lot throughout college and grad school. Moving cross-country and aquariums don’t mix. Now I think it might be time to set up a new one.
