Finally went skiing with a group of 8 for a friends 40th Birthday. It was amazing. We did a Ski school each morning for the week, then went skiing again in the afternoon. Despite all of us being complete beginners we were proficient enough to parallel ski down a long slope at the end of the week at a good speed. Can’t wait to go again. 1 month ago

My youngest is almost 4, so maybe next year would be a good time to try skiing.

I keep seeing cheap kids gear in the shops. Very tempting, but more that it is calling me to try this, to book a ski holiday for the family, and try something new.

Remind myself, that when the time comes, I’m sure we will have friends with ski gear for newbies to borrow. I love that about being a parent, friends are always keen to give their unused/un-needed gear to other parents. Or lend it for a week.

We’ve just had a clear out of some of our gear: cotbed, carseat, stairgate, high chair….all the baby stuff. I’m sure friends will be doing the same at some point. 4 months ago
