Ride a motorcycle from Tierra Del Fuego to Alaska.

I’m heading up a charity ride from Portland, Oregon, USA to Tierra del Fuego and back. The goal is to raise a ton of money to help treat childhood diseases. Instead of riding from Tierra del Fuego to Alasca always thought to ride from Alasca to Terras del Fuego!
Right now just wondering??? A wish of long time!
Anyone has done it?

I am looking for more info on this trip, how long, what roads to take and which ones not to take? What to watch out for (busses, cows, potholes, etc) Any info will help. I am planning to do this trip in the next couple of years but I like to plan things so the earlier I start the better. I will be riding a DRZ400S as I figure the offroading should be good in any of these countries outside the US. Thanks

I am in Ushuaia now (flew here and will sail away) and over breakfast spoke with a Canadian couple who had just ridden down from Vancouver. Took them four months. And I thought what a great idea! So I figure I’ll learn Spanish, brush up on my motorcycle maintenance, and be off. Ok, so it will probably be a few years before I manage it; but it is on the list.
