I’ve done this, but not on a professional level so it’s still gonna land on my “things to do” list.

It's all good. 2 years ago

I’ve been a Novice Web-Designer for a good year now, and I have to say I quite enjoy it. There’s nothing wrong with knowing the basics about it, because sometime in life (On the Internet) you will use your basic XHTML language, for something, other than making a full fledge website. It’s good to know, just like knowing other languages.

Ok, I give up 2 years ago

I have friends doing this now, and man is it stressful. Working all day to get things just right in Firefox, only to have it completely explode in IE … so I’m going to be sticking to ‘real’ software for now.

Not sure if I want to do this anymore; the sheer stress of making sure everything works everywhere, when the level of support is all pretty arbitrary, is really frustrating. On the other hand, you have things like Perl, C++ or – heck – even Java, which with the appropriate tools can be made to work in almost any way in almost any environment, and where there is actually one strict standard to follow. It’s also a lot easier to work with suchlike things, instead of the prettiness required for being a webdesigner.

I’ll leave this on the list for a while, though. Lesse.

I Love HTML! 3 years ago

I’m still a bit newish at all this webpage stuff.

I know basic HTML.
I know CSS pretty well.

I really want to learn JavaScript.
And hopefully Flash sometime.
And XHTML.
And XML.
All that crap.
I WANT TO LEARN IT SO MUCHHHH!!!

Sites I’ve made, though not the best, lol:

http://www.freewebs.com/sexysexyval
[That was like the first one.]

http://www.freewebs.com/glam_ni99erette
[Mostly pictures, but I only have like to “albums/picture pages” up so far.]

http://www.freewebs.com/dontfeedthewannabemodel
[Please don’t say crap to me about that, mmk. This is one of my better sites, I think… Idk.]

They’re all hosted by Freewebs.com because, ugh, it’s just practice and I’m not about to go buy my own domain name, lol!

And of course, I love experimenting on my MySpace, lol.

If you wanna see them, go ahead.
Don’t say mean stuff, lol.
If you have any cool tips, let me know.
:-)

jewelsinme asks, “what type of schooling should I persue? The Art institute is outrageously expensive, but I'm also not the type to teach myself web design in a short period of time.”
