call my mom more often

And I miss her a lot sometimes. I love talking on the phone with her, even though it’s rare because I’m always so busy. She’s been such a supporter in my life, I hope she knows how much I appreciate her.

The strange thing is that we’ve only gotten close after I moved out haha. I guess I just had some growing up I needed to do on my own.

Its not that I’m not close to my mom, we’re actually pretty close when i’m home. we do lots of errands and shopping together, i cuss in front of here and there and we crack jokes like BFF. yet its just when I am away for school I tend to just call my dad more for advice or if I need to talk to an older person about anything. One of the major reasons is because I believe that my dad is a replica of superman and einstien and that he knows EVERYTHING. i trust him more than anyone in the world. another reason is because my mom grew up in the Philippines and doesn’t really agree or understand a lot of stuff that comes out of my mouth…so it gets frustrating here and there and i end up not calling her at all. but things need to change, i need to call her more often just let her know im thinking of her and that i love her…and help her understand more about my life. after all. she did so much for me. like giving me birth…

I guess once everyone gets older they get more aches and pain and most of my conversations involve how well she DOES NOT feel…but I am very fortunate to have her since my dad died when I was 9…so I will persevere!
