eliminatedintime is a master of wishful thinking and therefore is happy
I can speak French pretty well for having it as a class, but that’s just it: it’s only a class. And though I’ve had three years, I’m not confident that I could survive in a place that only speaks French. I’d need it to be spoken very slowly and repeated and have a nice dictionary with me. That makes me a little sad. The reason I want to know other languages is not just to listen to how cool they sound, but to be able to communicate. As for my German, I couldn’t even speak a sentence without looking up half of the words and verb conjugation? Never. I don’t even know the basic pronouns. I’ll learn. College?
