I took accutane about a year ago and I and completely happy with the results. At first, I was a little concerned with the side effects that my sister was experiencing (she took accutane before me) and I was not liking the idea of taking the medicine.
I ended up being put on it, and I experienced same side effects, probably even a bit worse. Now that I am all cleared up, I can look back and honestly say that the experience was NOT AS BAD AS IT SEEMS. If you think about it, you only experience those side effects for a few months, where as having clear skin lasts for the rest of you life.. Long story short: It is such a small sacrifice to make to have such a powerful outcome.

I took accutane twice, andmy doctor told me that i’m now a poster child for the results. it dries you out like hell, you can scratch your arm and watch the skin just flake off like snow, you’ll itch like hell from being dry, your lips will hurt constantly from being cracked all the time (no chap stick can cure it), and there are serious side effects, but it’s worth it. just don’t get discouraged by feeling like the sahara desert.

wow that drug sucks. your skin dries out, your nose(inside and out) dries out and your boogers rip out your nose skin if you peel them out. your lips flake and you stop feeling them after a while. it’s worth it though, i took it almost 2 years ago and i’m still clear.

I am too old to have pimples and I am tired of them, too. I want to proactively (get the pun?) do something about it and not be too f-in scared to try something that may make thinks a whole heck of a lot better than they are now. I actually think that’s true for my life in general at the moment, but this is an entry about acne, not general life-ness, so let’s stick to the point. I will make an appointment with the dermotologist and see what the deal is. My mother probably isn’t going to like it, but I’ll have clear skin and she can shove it.
