Bridges improve your arm strength and balance. (Not really sure, that’s just what I think) It does improve your flexibility, though. Doing bridges can lead you to several other stunts, like bridge kickovers.
Worth doing!
I’d say this is pretty easy. I’m not a very flexible person and I’m quite a big guy (not fat). But I tried to do this every day for maybe a week and found that I could by the end of it. I’m going to call this done when I can hold one of my feet or hands off the ground. That’s a bit tricky.
Then I’ll move onto the backbend (http://www.43things.com/things/view/42788) and kickover.
My back’s just not cooperating! Ah well, you can’t have it all. Good luck to everyone else with this goal!

it’s quite simple really. well, i don’t know who to explain it.
but it’s fun! it stil sort of feels like the weight of my body is heavy. well it is.
Worth doing!
I surprised myself when I did this at class tonight . . .
It felt so good.
Vicky is off to Cumbria tomorrow
Definetely going to try do this every day. I’ve printed off some stretches for your back which are said to help strengthen it. So hopefully I will!!!
Worth doing!
Proabably the only reason I can still do bridges without doing them for months is because I tend to stretch my back far back(wards) every morning to wake myself up. So I would encourage bending back a bit more during your morning yawn—lolz.
Worth doing!
Usually they don’t hurt but the one I just did did :l I haven’t done them in a while but bridges just come to me. I’m still trying to do a backbend and walk over. The key to a good bridge is being able to push yourself UP. Well good luck everyone and let me know if you need anymore help (:
Des is home again
Worth doing!
...so I decided to try just now and see if I still could. I sorta did a half-bridge. My arm strength isn’t what it used to be.
