get a story published on Slashdot

I don’t even remember what the story was about, I just posted a link to a news story on some current event or other, and it got accepted. The link for my name went to my website, I think I got like 10 hits off of it. The story has apparently fallen into the ether now, as I can’t even find it anymore. Not really worth the trouble, try getting a digg entry highly rated instead.

I’ve had many book reviews posted on Slashdot. In fact a huge percentage of the reviews I’ve submitted have been accepted.

So if you want something up on Slashdot then write a review.

It’s not impossible, but pretty close. I think my first story, which was several years ago was about Australians writing in Jedi on their census forms. My other one was this year about a prescription filling robot.

Of course many, many more had been rejected.
