Write and sell a screenplay

First I have to have written something that is sellable, rather than something just written for me. Then comes the really hard party of actually selling it, I guess I have to get an agent at some point as well. So many things to do before it’s sold!

I’ve been working on a screenplay for a long time and I’m starting the final draft soon. Ugh, I hope it comes out good.

With the “most finished” draft topping out at just under 50 pages. Unfortunately, the middle part of the story, the meatiest bit, is the hardest. I hope to get this done someday. I love film.

I have had many ideas that seem to die when I try to work it out. All I really want is to take some of these ideas and share them with others. I guess I am too lazy for that though.

I’ve been working on this one for a year. My original idea was just that: an idea. It wasn’t character or emotion driven. So it’s back to the drawing board to make sure I find somethng more compelling. The setting doesn’t really matter, but the emotions and characters do.
