watch the BBC Pride and Prejudice miniseries

Its worth buying the box set – you will watch it over and over

I’ve been looking all the internet for a website that will let me watch this mini-series. So far I’ve had no luck. I am a huge Jane Austen Fan and Pride and Prejudice was the first of her books I fell in love with. I’ll watch any film adaptation of any of her stories and I’ve heard this one is very good. Dying to see for myself.

I hate to admit it, but I own 4 copies of the book, as well as the video of Ms. Garvey’s version as well as Ms. Ehle’s outing as the indomitable Lizzie in P&P. Sorry, but despite the best efforts of Donald Sutherland as Papa Bennett, the most recent version is simply too butchered to view. The writer’s apparently felt that folks in the 21st century are as dumb as the ground in the pigsty. Anyhow, I will be watching Collin Firth and Jennifer Ehle exercise their battle of wit again tomorrow.

I’ve seen this movie so many times the tape has gone from colour to black and white! And I watched it twice today! So good. The new movie is just no where near as good.

I love this miniseries…who cares if it’s 5 hours! I have most of it memorized by now, and refuse to see the new one.

I love it! I watch on the weekends to destress and have fun. I’ve gotten so many people hooked on it! I use lines from it in daily conversations (but Jane Austen does that to you!) and Colin Firth is the hotness! get the 10th anniversary edition if you can, a great resource if you’ve got Jane addiction!
