get some gerbils

Can be kinda annoying in the middle of the night when they start trying to dig throug the bottum of the cage but they are so cute and fun to play with when you are supposed to be studying.

No super new developments on the gerbil-ness… I have to wait a little before I can talk to my landlady.. and I have yet to see how much money tuition will take away from me.. Money is my biggest concern I guess, other than actualy having permission to get them!

So I asked all of my roomates and they all gave me the OK about the gerbils! Next up… landlady…

My appartment has a no pets rule… So i dont know if I actualy can get some or not! So there are few steps I have to go through before I can actualy get some…
1- Talk to my landlady
2- Talk to my housemates
3- Research how to train and properly take care of them (make sure I know what I’m getting myself into, and how do it right!)
4- Look into pricing and find the perfect gerbils!

I already know that I want 2 females… and I can get a free 10 gallon glass tank from a friend, so I’m on to a good start!

They’re like my little babies… I bought them as pets for myself because my apartment has a no pets policy. I bought 3 and after three years I have one left… :( I took good care of them it’s just unfortunate that gerbils have such short life spans… you get really attached.

A childhood fascination that never seems to have worn off, only grown. I hadn’t owned any gerbils since I was a teenager, but talked about them so much that my wife convinced me that I had to get a pair, if only so she could see what was so interesting about these ‘small rats’. It has to be said that she doesn’t love or talk to them quite as much as I do, but she has started to evince some maternal impulses. Several times I have been chastised for ‘interfering’ with them too much, and ‘ruining’ their tunnels in an attempt to effect improvements. They’re great. They’re called No.1 and No.2.
